CBS thinks Selby will be a bust. He already is.

I just logged onto CBS Sports to check out the news for the day and I see a poll asking people who will be the biggest bust in this years NBA draft. The answers are the following:

Jimmer Ferdette
Bismack Biyombo Kemba Walker
Josh Selby
Donatas Motiejunas

How in the world is Josh Selby on that list? He had a terrible second half of the season at KU, and that seems to be all anybody remembers about him. Josh got injured @ Texas Tech and missed 3 games. When he came back, Josh never scored in double digits again for the rest of the season. He had some trouble getting along with KU Head Coach Bill Self, and Selby proved that he is not effective unless he is the focal point of the offense. Also, let's not forget that Selby missed the first 9 games of the season for accepting improper benefits. In all accounts, Josh Selby has been a bust since day 1.

News flash for CBS Sports, a player that is not projected to be picked in the lottery cannot be a bust. Right now, Josh Selby is projected to go 17th overall to the New York Knicks (Donnie Walsh wouldn't have even thought of doing that). A player drafted 17th overall can only be abust if he contributes nothing. This is the NBA, not the NFL, and whether or not a player is a bust is judged differently. Somebody please tell me the last player taken outside of the lottery who was a bust? You can't, because that position in the draft can't warrant a "bust" tag.

IF Josh Selby is selected by the Knicks, I will post another blog entry about the conspiract theory surrounding the selection. That conspiracy theory begins with Carmelo Anthony's manager being the reason that Selby was suspended for his first 9 games at KU.

God Bless
